The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) worked together with DBM to kick off the Luzon Leg A (Regions CAR, 1, 2, 3) of its OGPinas! at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center in the City of Baguio on November 7, 2023.
In attendance are DILG Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr. and fellow RDs of the aforementioned organizing agencies in the regions and national office (DBM, DILG, and PIA), representatives from Regional Development Councils, identified LGUs, State/Local Universities and College Student Government representatives, various Sectoral Representatives, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
OGPinas! has a compelling mission: to enhance public understanding of the PH-OGP (Philippine Open Government Partnership), particularly at the local level. This initiative seeks to establish new avenues and multiple communication channels that bridge the gap between government and civil society organizations. Ultimately, its goal is to empower the public to actively participate in policy development and governance throughout the country.
In addition to these informative sessions, participants had the opportunity to access One-Stop Shops for Government Services, conveniently set up within the convention center grounds.
