DILG R1 attends SGLGIF FY 2022 Project Inauguration in Santo Tomas, La Union
DILG R1 Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen Jr. graced the inauguration of the completed project under the FY 2022 Seal of Good Local Government Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) in the Municipality of Santo Tomas, La Union.
The project entitled, “Purchase and Installation of Solar Lighting in Various Barangays (Ubagan, Cupang and Casantaan)” has a total budget allocation of five million pesos (Php5,000,000.00) and was completed last June 21, 2023. With its inauguration, it is now ready to illuminate the roads of the said localities with high hopes of intensifying safety and peace.
In his message, RD Leusen highlighted the impact of the said project as it is strategically located near schools. He also shared the joy for the town with the news that it is still among the potential passers for SGLG 2023. DILG La Union Provincial Director Reggie R. Colisao, CESO V also emphasized in her sharing the 10 Governance Areas being evaluated for the SGLG that is being efficiently complied by the Municipality, an affirmation of the incentives it’s been receiving.
The celebration was spearheaded by Engr. Severino C. Carbonell, the Honorable Municipal Mayor of Santo Tomas, accompanied by the equally dynamic Sangguniang Bayan Members with the support of the different LGU Functionaries and heads of offices. Also present are Engr. Art Anthony B. Umel, DILG R1 SGLGIF Regional Focal Person, representatives from the DILG Regional and La Union Provincial Offices with the respective Field Officer and the whole Barangay Councils of the covered areas.
